What you need to know...

It is the cheese par excellence of the Savoie region, an Alpine area near the Italian border.  Obtained from the second milking of the Abondance and Tarine breeds of cows, the Reblochon is a very rich cheese.  Under its thin, velvety rind hides a dense, creamy interior.  An excellent cheese for a tray of cheeses, it leaves a delicate hazelnut aftertaste in the mouth.
